About this Display


April 30th is El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children's Day/Book Day). This holiday was founded by children's book author Pat Mora in 1996 and endorsed by the American Library Association in 2001. This day supports children's literacy with an emphasis on books that celebrate linguistic and cultural diversity.
