June 5th is World Environment Day. Sponsored by the United Nations Environment Programme, the theme of World Environment Day 2013 is "Think.Eat.Save," an anti-food waste and food loss campaign that encourages everyone to reduce their footprint by minimizing food waste. Check out the World Environment Day Facebook page for more information.

June 8th is World Oceans Day, the planet's largest celebration of our oceans. Check out the official World Oceans Day website to find resoures and local events. 

June 15th is Nature Photography Day.  Get outside to take photos in celebration of the 8th annual Nature Photography Day, sponsored by the North American Nature Photography Association. Upload your best shot to the event's Facebook page and check out other submitted photos.
