Library Services for Online and Distance Students

This guide describes the library resources and services available to Simmons online and distance students. Simmons online/distance students have full access to the entire suite of the library's collections and research services: print and electronic resources, live chat assistance, one-on-one research appointments, and more.

 Get help with your research

As an online/distance student, you have access to all of the library's research services. With custom research guides, personal appointments and instant live chat, we're here to help. For more information, see the "Get help with research" navigation button on the left.

Access Articles, E-books, Streaming videos, and more.

You have access to anything you can find online through the library website: articles, e-books, streaming videos, and more. For access instructions, see the "Access Electronic Resources" button above.

Borrow physical books from the Boston campus

The library provides a home delivery service! You can request any circulating book that we have in our collection, and we'll mail the item to your home address. See the "Borrow print books" tab above for more information.

 Borrow material from other libraries

If you want to access books or articles that are not available via the Simmons University Library directly, you can borrow material from other libraries using our Interlibrary Loan service. See the "Interlibrary Loan" tab on the left for more details.
