Getting Started with the Swank Feature Films Database

When a feature film is live on the Digital Campus platform a record for it will be available in the library catalog as well as in the Swank Feature Films Database. A librarian can also provide faculty with a link to copy and paste into your Moodle page so students can watch the film at any time via their course page.  Faculty can also request streaming feature films via the online Course Reserves system.  If you want to play the film during class, just click the View Streaming Video button in the library catalog or click on the film in the Swank Feature Films Database and then click the screen size button (see below) to maximize the picture.

Watching Swank Feature Films

Once a link has been added to a Moodle course page or the online Course Reserves system,  just click it to be taken to the Digital Campus player, which operates much like YouTube or other online video platforms.  The film will start to play automatically once the player is open.  Just click the pause button on the bottom left to stop playing. To get to a film from the Swank Feature Films Database, click on the title of the film you want, then click the play button in the pop-up window.
