BIKES NOT BOMBS

Bikes Not Bombs uses the bicycle as a vehicle for social change. We reclaim thousands of bicycles each year.
We create local and global programs that provide skill development, jobs, and sustainable transportation.
Our programs mobilize youth and adults to be leaders in community transformation.

Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción

Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción is a non-profit organization and a dynamic community development corporation that started in the South End neighborhood of Boston, to address displacement of low-income families due to urban development. IBA offers affordable housing and supportive programming to improve the knowledge, life skills and health of participants of all ages.

JUSTICE RESOURCE INSTITUTE

JRI is a leader in social justice, with over 100 diverse programs meeting the needs of underserved individuals, families and communities. We are committed to excellence, delivering targeted services that support the dignity of each person.

HALEY HOUSE

Always local in focus and based in personal relationship, Haley House has grown organically in response to the harsh realities of social inequality and injustice. We remain committed to the important work of nurturing community which inspires and supports lasting personal and societal transformation. Never abandoning our deep roots as a house of hospitality, Haley House today addresses basic human needs through four interconnected branches.

INTERACTION INSTITUTE FOR SOCIAL CHANGE

Through our consulting practice, IISC works with organizations, communities, networks, and others to build their capacity for more effective, equitable, and inclusive social change. We also offer workshops that provide participants with the opportunity to learn and practice the skills and tools of collaboration for social change.

HYDE SQUARE PARK

HSTF now engages over 1,000 youth ages 6–25 in college and career preparation, Afro-Latin arts and cultural enrichment, and community-building initiatives. In doing so, we ensure that youth have the arts and educational opportunities they need and deserve in order to be successful, and that their voices and cultures are valued and celebrated in Boston’s Latin Quarter and beyond.

BOSTON TENANT COALITION

The Boston Tenants Coalition (BTC) is a coalition of grassroots tenant neighborhood groups, community development corporations, and homeless and advocacy organizations that promotes affordable housing in Boston, organized to defend and expand the rights of tenants, and to push city, state and federal government, as well as private industry to address the needs of low-income tenants. We operate from a core belief that more affordable housing needs to be both permanent and targeted to Boston’s low-income populations.
